Google is, today, one of the most important companies in the world. A business focused entirely on the internet and new technologies that everyone knows by the epicenter of all its activity, its web search engine. This company has the search engine par excellence, the portal to which all users enter when they connect to find everything they want.
Developed in 1997 by only two people, this search engine has not stopped growing and being used since it opened its doors more than a decade ago. Anyone knows it and has used it on more than one occasion, although it has probably also taken advantage of any of the other services offered by this firm through the networks: mail, cloud storage, operating system for smartphones, etc.
Google was founded in September 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin while they were Ph.D. students at Stanford University in California. Together they own about 14 percent of its shares and control 56 percent of the stockholder voting power through supervoting stock. They incorporated Google as a California privately held company on September 4, 1998, in California. Google was then reincorporated in Delaware on October 22, 2002. An initial public offering (IPO) took place on August 19, 2004, and Google moved to its headquarters in Mountain View, California, nicknamed the Googleplex.
Google Drive
Google Drive is a file hosting service. It was introduced by Google on April 24, 2012. Google Drive is a replacement for Google Docs that has changed its link address from docs.google.com to drive.google.com, among other qualities. Each user has 15 gigabytes of free space to store their files, expandable by payment. It is accessible through its website from computers and has applications for iOS and Android that allow editing documents and spreadsheets.
Google Docs is a website where users can discover, upload and share Office documents on their Microsoft or Facebook profile page, similar to that of a corporate social network.
Supported file types include Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations. Similarly, you can mix videos from the Office Sway application. Users can add files in PDF format and URLs on their own page. Docs.com is a part of Microsoft Office Online.
